The last BLUES ON THE RIDEAU show of the 2011/12 season at THE COVE INN in Westport took place on Friday, May 18 with the hot young CHRIS ANTONIK BAND from Toronto in town and it was a fitting finale for another great year. The perfect way to kick off a beautiful hot long weekend. With Chris singing and playing guitar in that excellent smooth, precise style of his backed by Josh Williams on vocals, keyboards and harp, Andrew Taylor on bass and Chris Chiarelli on drums the dance floor was packed all night long as usual. We got to hear some songs from the new album that Chris is currently working on and they sound great! The Cove served up its usual delicious buffet - lots of salads, veggies and potatoes with roast beef and poached salmon entrees and chocolate cake for dessert. Yum.
